Discovery Session

In some cases, clients may approach Draseum with more complex, long-term projects (e.g. a marketing strategy for a new business), or they may not be certain about what exactly they want to achieve. In such cases, a discovery session is needed.

A discovery session can be offered as a standalone service if you are seeking to discover causes behind challenges your business may be facing. In most cases, a discovery session is used as a precursor to other Draseum services described in Research, Analysis, Strategy, and Empowerment pages.

Discovery session: List

What is a discovery session?

Briefly: an in-depth analysis of your business to examine the issues you are facing and the objectives you want to reach so that we can achieve a shared understanding of what success looks like to you.

When you approach us with a need or an objective, we need to assess the situation and ensure we have understood the cause and that we have the right solution. The last thing you need, especially if you are a small business, is to spend a bunch of money on the wrong solution.

What are the benefits of a discovery session for my business?

A discovery session is truly a high-value session that we recommend for all our clients, especially those with complex projects that would require long-term involvement and aim to provide clear, measurable results (e.g. more customers, better brand engagement on social media, more traffic to the website, etc.).

While no size fits all, and every client is unique, here is what you can expect to gain:

  • In-depth discussion about your objectives and desired deliverables.
Benefit: this way we ensure that we identify the real cause / concern and we gain a shared understanding of what the objective is.

  • Consideration of what you have already tried and worked and what didn't.
Benefit: this is to ensure that we do not propose solutions that may have not been successful in the past.

  • Outline of a path forward.
Benefit: you are a key part of the process in setting the foundations for finding the quickest, most effective, and least risky pathway to your dream.

  • Feeling the 'fit'.
Benefit: you get to know us better, and explore whether we are a 'match' before we both commit to a longer-term collaboration and relationship.

Where does it take place and how long does it last?

A discovery session may last from an hour to a day, depending on project complexity, and can take place online, or in your premises. The latter option is obviously more expensive, because it involves travel to your offices. For many of our clients, this is an unnecessary cost.

What happens after the discovery session?

After the session, you will receive a proposal that summarises:

  • the issues identified,

  • the objectives and detailed requirements of the project,

  • the expected outcomes of the project,

  • the services we can offer to achieve those results,

  • the time-frame within which we can offer them,

  • a full cost analysis,

  • and our terms & conditions.

You can then review this at your own pace, approve it, or come back to us with further comments. Then, we can start working together to make your dreams a reality.
